The event is organized by ELIXIR Denmark and sponsored by Novo Nordisk, Biolib and ZS Discovery. It is funded by Danish Data Science Academy (DDSA).
It aims to be a dynamic forum for the bioinformatics community, including data scientists, statisticians, software developers, and wet lab scientists. This conference has been an excellent platform to exchange about the latest research and tools development in Danish bioinformatics. You will have the chance to learn, connect, and stay up-to-date with the most cutting-edge developments in the field.

The Finnish Nordic Computational Biology event is organized by NCB, Faculty of Pharmacy at University of Helsinki, and University of Eastern Finland (with Sylvain Tollis).
The event is tailored for bioinformaticians and computational biologists. It is an excellent opportunity for researchers and students working with biological data who are keen on exploring new bioinformatics methods, workflows, or challenges.
This year, the event was hosted in Helsinki at Viikki Campus, University of Helsinki. Senior scientists and non-academic participants from Nordic regions were warmly welcomed.
The event was in hybrid format, with speakers in:
- Systems biology and multi-omics, including Katri Vaparanta and Yaara Oren
- Computational microscopy, including Alessandro Foi and Leena Latonen
- Mathematical and computational modeling, including Till Möcklinghoff, Barbara Bravi and Sylvain Tollis
- Computational pharmacology/toxicology, including Antonio Federico and Laura Saarimäki

Sweden — Uppsala (4-5 Nov)

The Swedish Bioinformatics Workshop (SBW) is one of the largest conferences in Sweden within bioinformatics and computational biology.
The event was hosted in Uppsala at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). Senior scientists and non-academic participants from Nordic regions were warmly welcomed.

6-10 Nov
The conference started with the Swedish Bioinformatics Workshop in Stockholm (6-7 Nov), followed by the programme in Lyngby, Denmark (8-9 Nov), and ended with a one-day event in Kuopio, Finland (10 Nov).
Big thanks to the conference team for putting together the programme: Shilpa Garg (Denmark), Ahmed Eltourkey (Finland), Luca Giudice (Finland), and Marcel Tarbier (Sweden). The idea was initiated by Nazeefa Fatima (Norway) and coordinated with Johan Österlund (Sweden).
