NCB Week 2024: Finland


7-8 Nov: Helsinki

The Finnish Nordic Computational Biology is organized by NCB, Faculty of Pharmacy at University of Helsinki and University of Eastern Finland (with Sylvain Tollis).

The event is tailored for Bioinformaticians and Computational Biologists. It is an excellent opportunity for researchers and students working with biological data who are keen on exploring new bioinformatics methods, workflows, or challenges.

Join us for a dynamic gathering of bioinformaticians, researchers, and leading experts. Immerse yourself in the latest advancements, share innovative research, and foster valuable collaborations at this premier event celebrating computational biology in Finland.​

This year, the event will be hosted in Helsinki at Viikki Campus, University of Helsinki. Senior scientists and non-academic participants from Nordic regions are warmly welcome to attend.​​​

The event is hybrid format. The schedule will be published soon. We have esteemed speakers in the fields of

- Systems biology and Multi-omics including Katri Vaparanta & Yaara Oren

- Computational Microscopy including Aleesandro Foi & Leena Latonen

- Mathematical and Computational modeling including Till Möcklinghoff, Barbara Bravi & Sylvain Tollis

NCB Week 2024: Sweden


4-5 Nov: Uppsala

The Swedish Bioinformatics Workshop (SBW) is the largest conference Sweden within the field of bioinformatics and computational biology.

This year, the event will be hosted in Uppsala at the lovely Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala. Senior scientists and non-academic participants from Nordic regions are warmly welcome to attend.

NCB Week 2023: 6-10 november

The conference started off with the Swedish Bioinformatics Workshop in Stockholm (6-7 nov), followed by the programme in Lyngby Denmark (8-9 nov) and ended with a one-day event in, Kuopio Finland (10 nov). We were glad to see so many of you there!

Big thanks to the conference team for putting together the programme; Shilpa Garg (Denmark), Ahmed Eltourkey (Finland), Luca Giudice (Finland), and Marcel Tarbier (Sweden). The idea was initiated by Nazeefa Fatima (Norway) and coordinated with Johan Österlund (Sweden).
